AXA WOMEN'S SUPER LEAGUE

OVER 40'S/50'S/60'S CENTRAL REGION TEAMS

Yesterday saw the Regional Women’s teams taking part in the AXA UK Women’s Super League (delayed) final round of 2024 at University of Gloucestershire Sport.  Each of the age groups played their final games of the 2024 season with the winners crowned at at a presentation at the end. 

Our Central teams were a credit to our region and our club, with many thanks to each teams management for all their hard work and organisation behind the scenes.

Over 40’s

Over 40’s match results –

Central v South West 3-1 win (goal scorers - Paula, Nat, OG)

Central v South East 3-1 win (goal scorers - Kelly O Nat x2)

Central v North 2-1 win (goal scorers - Kelly O , Kelly P)

Over 50’s

The over 50’s Central team smashed the 2024 super league finishing top by 15 clear points! Yesterdays game results –

Central v North 1-0 (goal scorer Tracy D)

Central v South West 2 1-0 (goal scorer Robbo)

Central v South East 2-0 (goal scorer Tracy D)

Central v South West 1 5-0 (goal scorers Tracy D x2, Jenny T, Robbo x2)

Over the three meets this season they scored 36 points, won 11 games, drew 3 games, and lost NONE! Goals scored 27, goals against just 2!

Over 60’s

The 60’s match results –

Central v North 0-0 draw

Central v South West 1 2-1 loss (goal scorer Kathy P)

Central v South East 0-0 draw

Central v South West 2 3-1 win (goal scorers Kathy P, Karen x2)

A wonderful day of walking football was had with over 150 players participating and numerous referees and league organisers making it a success
